Description: 

McBride Hospital utilizes propane for domestic hot water (DHW) and space heating which is a highly GHG intensive fuel and is very costly. The hospital has two large medium efficiency boilers with only 3 to 1 turndown ratio which makes them very inefficient through shoulder and summer seasons. They are constantly cycling which increases stress on fired tubes and increases maintenance while reducing boiler life. The connection of the DHW and heating systems, their piping and removal when necessary, due to aging and being poorly placed, will be a major cost in the future. 

The work to be undertaken generally includes the following:
1. Related GC work for housekeeping pads
2. Addition of two new condensing boiler
3. Addition of two new hot water heaters
4. Related electrical
5. Phasing as necessary to keep the heating plants operating
