Work of this Contract includes  hazardous materials abatement & demolition of the former College of New Caledonia (CNC) Building located at 3231 Hospital Rd, Vanderhoof, BC. In particular, the work, briefly described below, includes, but is not necessarily limited to the following Contractor responsibilities:
1. The installation and maintenance of hoarding, dust protection, and construction signage around the area of work and staging area, as described in the Project Specifications.
2. Removal of hazardous and regulated materials as described in the Project Specifications.
3. Obtaining required permits and providing notices of projects to regulatory agencies.
4. Demolition, removal and disposal of the building currently occupying the noted address as described in the Project Specifications.
5. Removal and disposal of the existing concrete curbs, sidewalks, soft landscaping materials and tree as indicated on the Drawing(s).
6. Removal, disposal, and service disconnection of all gas, electrical, water and sanitary services to property line in accordance with local regulatory requirements inclusive of the coordination with affected utility service providers.
7. Backfilling and compaction of excavations to surface grade ready for parking or new building construction as described in the Project Specifications.
8. Repair of all areas damaged by construction activity.
9. Final cleaning of the structure, finishes, landscaping, etc., and the disposal of all waste products and cleaning.
